Default En-suite Sink Information

En-suite Sinks

Corner Sink

en-suite sinksA corner sink could be the one to go for if you’re looking for something a little bigger, perhaps for an en-suite or guest bathroom. It will fit into a right-angled corner and a typical size would be about 64cm across and 45-50cm from front to back. Depending on the look you want, you could fix it to the wall, perhaps using some decorative brackets to give it a designed look, or on a pedestal or vanity unit.

Sometimes there may be a handy towel rail as part of the sink too, and if you don’t want to use a plastic U-bend, you could use a stylish bottle-trap which looks far more attractive. If you’re using a corner basin on a vanity unit, why not make use of the corner above with a corner cabinet and mirror too?

Inset Sink

inset sinksInset sinks are recessed into or set onto a worktop surface. Inset sinks come in many shapes and sizes, with or without a ledge to put your taps, and are generally placed into the worktop once a hole has been cut for it. If you are doing the work yourself and you don’t have a very steady hand, the lip of the sink will probably hide any rough edges, although getting it right first time is by far the safest and best option! An undercounter basin is the reverse of this; the worktop with a hole cut is placed over the basin, so be very steady since any cutting mistakes are visible here.
