Cloakroom Sinks
A
baby or cloakroom sink is the best option if you are looking
for a small sink, perhaps for a downstairs cloakroom, a small
shower room or child’s bathroom. The overall size of
these basins is small enough to fit in a tight space but still
gives you enough room to wash your hands comfortably. Typically
they will measure between 40 and 50cm wide and be about 30-35cm
from front to back.
These sinks are often fixed straight to the wall and work
really hard to make the most of the space available. If you
want to hide away the plumbing pipes or incorporate a storage
area to keep the room tidy then you may choose to set the
cloakroom sink on a vanity unit. A baby or tiny basin as it
is sometimes known will usually only be mounted to the wall
and will probably have the taps set to either or one side
of bowl area. Since the bowl area here can be very small,
it’s best to use short spout taps so that they don’t
get in the way.
