What is an Electric Shower?

All electric showers draw water direct from a cold mains domestic supply and heat it as it is used. This way they only heat the water that you need - not a whole tank full of water. Hence you get an economical shower, but still with great performance.

This means that electric showers can be fitted into homes where there is not a stored hot water supply and such versatility means that almost every home can have one.

Many houses that have the luxury of two bathrooms, often have an electric shower in one, so that you have instantaneous showering, even in the summer when you may not have stored hot water all of the time.

Electric showers offer a selection of power ratings, starting with a basic, low cost unit, to a high performance model. If you prefer a more powerful shower, simply choose a higher kilowatt rating for a greater flow rate, giving you the desired showering performance.

Most electric showers come complete with a variable power setting to give optimum economy, even during summer months, when incoming mains water will have a higher ambient temperature.
